History

Established in 1972, Renaissance Restoration Incorporated, is a Galena based company that provides professional services to institutional, private and public clients. Our corporation is made up of experienced professionals dedicated to client services and competence in the analytical, technical and aesthetics of historic preservation. Architects, engineers and designing professionals have been collaborating with Renaissance Restoration Inc., for over twenty years in successfully completing projects that mandate the Department of Interior's Standatrds for Rehabilitation.

RR Inc. has been committed to a comprehensive practice of preservation throughout the Midwsest. Our vast experience includes: downtown revitalization; orphanage complexes; museums; jails; educational institutions; agricultural buildings; churches; railroad depots; single as well as multi-family residental projects; and industrial structures. Preservation, renovation and adaptive reuse of our national heritage is our profession.

Since 2000, Renaissance Restoration has been providing the State Historical Society of Iowa with field observation reports. We provide technical assistance to those individuals seeking professional advice for their preservation projects. Preliminary studies of this nature help architectural conservation practices to be set into motion. Most often building owners find their basic questions and concerns to be addressed in this information and assists muncipal officials to confirm their evaluations. Most of Renaissance Restoration's advice is directed toward improving workmanship by pre-planning and careful monitoring of building conditions.
